Internal Complaints Cell

About the Club/Committee/Cell

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) at our institution is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of our campus community. Issues related to harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct are committed to being addressed and resolved.

 Our Mission

A campus where every individual feels secure and valued, regardless of their gender, background, or identity, is aimed to be created by the ICC. A culture of respect and empathy is promoted, ensuring incidents of harassment or discrimination are promptly addressed and rectified.

Objectives

  1. Addressing Complaints: Complaints related to sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination, and other forms of misconduct are received and addressed by the ICC. These complaints are handled with sensitivity, confidentiality, and impartiality.
  2. Awareness and Prevention: Awareness programs, workshops, and seminars are organized to educate the campus community about their rights and responsibilities, preventing incidents of harassment and discrimination.
  3. Support and Guidance: Guidance and support are provided to those who have experienced harassment or discrimination, helping them navigate the reporting process and access necessary resources.
  4. Policy Compliance: Compliance with all relevant laws and policies regarding harassment and discrimination, including the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, is ensured by the ICC.
  5. Grievance Redressal: A grievance redressal mechanism is offered to resolve issues and concerns related to harassment, discrimination, or misconduct, in addition to addressing specific complaints.

Reporting an incident

If an incident of harassment or discrimination has been experienced or witnessed, reporting it to the ICC is encouraged. Confidentiality will be respected, and prompt action will be taken to address the matter.
