About the Club/Committee/Cell
Nature club is an association of nature lovers from various departments of the college. The club has been active on the campus for the last two decades and is involved in various activities.
Objectives:
- To inculcate Love of Nature in the minds of college youth
- To develop social and environmental commitment
- To develop leadership qualities and personality excellence through interdisciplinary group activities
- To help students develop organizing capacity through independent planning and execution of environmental programmes
- To help them aware of the concept of ecological balance through environmental education programmes..
- To give awareness in solid waste management, recycling waste paper and plastic waste.
Activities :
The Nature Club has been continuously organising various activities to create ecological awareness among the students .Programmes are organized to teach new skills and broaden the vision on environment and its conservation.The Club organises seminars, workshops on environmental issues, sustainability, and conservation for creating general awareness and orientation of students, for their active and sustained participation in the activities of Club. Various training programmes are organized to create awareness on solid waste management, vermicomposting, plastic recycling and upcycling. The Club regularly organises Nature camps .Nature camps hold significant benefits for students across various aspects of their development. Nature camps provide students with direct experiences in natural environments, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural world. They learn about ecosystems, biodiversity, and conservation, leading to increased environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment. Students participate in biodiversity surveys to document local wildlife and contribute to citizen science initiatives. Such activities encourage scientific inquiry and data collection, creating a stronger connection between students and nature.
