Department of Electronics
The Department of Electronics has been established in connection with the sanctioning of B.Sc. Physics programme. The department caters to the needs of the first four semesters of students enrolled for B.Sc. Physics programme by teaching Electronics as complementary subject. For students of Physics main, Electronics is their tool of prime importance in analysis, experimentation and other aspects of scientific research. Apart from teaching, the department is actively engaged in delivering extra-mural lectures on topics of relevance, instigating scientific thinking among students and promoting science in society. The department has ample facility with a smart classroom housing electronics workbench for practical and theory sessions. The electronics lab is ideal for conducting hands-on training on relevant fields in electronics. The department is actively engaged in project designs spanning from – micro-controllers and embedded system, microwave electronics, energy storage/harvest system, development/ characterization of synthetic conductors and paper/plastic electronics.
