In 2002, the department expanded its offerings to the postgraduate level with the introduction of the M.Sc. course in Pure Chemistry. Over the years, the department has produced distinguished academicians, researchers, and professionals, focusing on student development through quality education, research, co-curricular activities, and job placement. Beyond its primary responsibilities of teaching and mentoring students, the department is actively engaged in various extension activities. These include organizing seminars on current and general interest topics, exhibitions, and awareness classes for both PG and UG students. To further enhance students’ knowledge and skills, the department conducts inter-departmental and inter-collegiate activities.
